Green light given for 67 new homes in Rodley on 8th June 2023

Leeds City Council has approved detailed planning consent for 67 thoughtfully designed new homes on the former Airedale Mills site in Rodley.

Canal Walk will create a new community, providing a mix of apartments and houses perfectly positioned between the historic Leeds–Liverpool Canal and the River Aire, and moments from the beauty of Rodley Nature Reserve.

Close to all local amenities including pubs and cafes and benefitting from a waterside location, Canal Walk is the perfect setting where countryside, water and community come together, all in easy reach of Leeds city centre.

Commenting on the planning decision by Leeds City Council on 8th June 2023, a spokesperson for Rodley Homes, the developer behind the Canal Walk development said:

“We’re pleased that the Planning Committee of Leeds City Council has granted approval for the 67 thoughtfully designed new homes proposed on this site which range from 2-bedroom apartments to 4-bedroom family houses.

“This site is perfectly positioned alongside the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and surrounded by open green spaces, whilst also remaining only a short drive from the dynamic Leeds-city centre.

“We look forward to sharing further updates on our Canal Walk development in due course as we progress these plans and begin delivery, transforming this brownfield site into a new neighbourhood which fits into the local community and delivers the much-needed new homes.”
